Title Developing Computational Fluency with Number Talks
Description

Number talk is an approach to teaching that has proven its effectiveness in developing elementary school students’ number sense and computational fluency. This module trains teachers in making the best out of this 10-15 minutes classroom routine, by planning for the appropriate number talk based on where their students are on the numeracy developmental stages, orchestrating students’ collective learning using prompts and effective questioning and shifting students’ focus from the correctness of their answer to the efficiency of their chosen strategy.
