Do you want to be able to support gifted learners in your class but don't know where to start? Here's an easy first step
Gifted students are a special educational group who get little attention in classrooms and school communities because of the perception that they have achieved grade level standards and/or do not need support in order to grow and be successful. Due to this common misnomer gifted learners often are perceived as not needing special accommodations and may present as troublemakers and/or underachievers. In this session participants will learn the basics about some of the common traits of gifted learners, how we identify students and what to look for when making gifted testing referrals.
-Know the TPACK and SAMR Models
-Apply these models in their planning of lesson content
-Evaluate when to use particular stages of SAMR to promote transformative learning.
