Professional Learning Induction Series
In response to Covid -19's impact on education and to support educators, EDI had 912 educators register during the two week induction period. The learning happened across four broad themes: Building a supportive and collaborative online learning community; Fostering engagement through synchronous and asynchronous learning; Online assessment of students’ learning; and Digital citizenship: ISTE standards and effective practices. The objectives of these training sessions were to, build capacity within Qatar Foundation for quality distance learning, model effective interdisciplinary practices and provoke educators to project onto the online interactions between themsleves and their students. Bilingual sessions were also offered to enable educators to learn about specific e-learning software.
