An effective professional learning program includes a series of professional learning experiences for educators and builds upon an analysis of available data to create well-articulated outcome goals. Seven standards for professional learning guide a professional learning program, which follows a logic model that is based on evidence and research. During implementation of the program, reflection and evidence are used to support continuous improvement cycles, which measure the impact of teachers’ learning on student achievement. At EDI, we design professional learning programs, both personalized (PETAL and PALME programs) and team based (In-school Inquiries).
