Author and Trainer

Joy delivers training and workshops internationally through Positive Discipline UK. Concurrently. she also works as a secondary teacher at The American School in London, England, where she successfully implements Positive Discipline in the classroom and delivers teacher training and parent education courses within her school and community. 

With her combined passion and experience in parenting, education, professional development and wellness, she is able to give a comprehensive look into the modern world of parenting, relationships, and personal and professional development.

Dr. Janet Goodall
Researcher and Author

Janet is a lecturer in Educational Leadership and Management at the University of Bath. For many years, she has been interested in parents’ engagement with their children’s learning; she has written and spoken on this widely. Her newest book, with Dr Kathy Weston, will be published by Bloomsbury in November: 100 Tips for Primary Teachers: Parental Engagement.

Dr. Michael Lovorn
Renowned Author and Professor

Michael Lovorn is the Director of the International Graduate Program for Educators at SUNY Buffalo State. He has over 25 years of experience as a teacher of social studies (grades 7-12), teacher educator, and educational researcher. He has published over ten articles and book chapters on teachers’ uses of humor as a tool for increasing student engagement, exploration of content, and reflection on their own social and intellectual development. Michael’s research indicates that a learning environment structured to promote students’ mirthful thinking can also deepen and enrich their critical and divergent thinking, self-reflection, self-confidence, and sense of community.
