This unit will be taught at Qatar Foundation subject to restrictions related to Covid-19. This unit, which is relevant to educators of all age ranges, will address a number of issues, including the following:
- Grow intellectually, socially and emotionally
- Preserve our Qatari culture and values
- Innovate through reflection, collaboration and research
- Contribute effectively and sustainably to improving education in Qatar and beyond.
The Understanding learners and Learning unit sessions will happen from Wednesday August 19 to Saturday August 22.

Please submit your completed Study Centre enrolment form to the MA/PGCiE Office at the University of Bath, on studycentres-ma@bath.ac.uk, for new students by no later than 24 June 2020 and for current students by no later than 8 July 2020.
- EDI will augment and support the PGCiE with a Teacher Certification Program where participants are supported in securing a mentor and offered one to one coaching.
- The PGCiE course lasts up to two years and involves successful completion of two taught units and an Education Enquiry unit.
The MA course lasts up to five years and involves successful completion of five taught units and a 15,000 dissertation.
- Unit 1: Education in an International Context + 5,000 word assignment (12 Credits)
- Unit 2: Understanding Learners and Learning + 5,000 word assignment (12 Credits)
- Unit 3: Education Enquiry (6 Credits) + 3000 word assignment

The MA Education allows you the greatest flexibility in choice of units and dissertation topic (with the exception of those opting to take the International Baccalaureate Educator Certificate, who are required to take specific units).
In order to study the International Baccalaureate Educator Certificates (IBEC) at the University of Bath you need to have current or recent teaching experience of an IB program and then gain admission to the MA Education program.
